Photo submission

I take alot of photos with my iphone and use various apps to manipulate them. With my education and knowledge of photoshop I really do try to make them interesting for others to watch. This day I was forging some leaves for a rosette and had to use some of this Osage orange wood. Its very durable, tough and great to use as an anvil. You get a void in the wood and can form the metal to it. Eventually you will need to move to a different place on the wood but for the most part, it does a great job. The flames, sparks and smoke in this shot really came out well. I recently submitted it to a “pic of the month” contest and it was well received.
